Guideline Prevention COVID-19

I am very happy to receive you for Shiatsu treatment. Because of COVID 19 the Dutch RIVM has put into effect certain measures, which the Dutch Shiatsu Association, Zhong and the RBCZ have worked out.

Below you can read what is important to know when you come in for treatment. I would be very obliged if you could read them through and take these measures into account:

  • Please take a COVID-19 selftest 24 hours before entering the practice.

  • A treatment cannot take place if there is suspicion of infection with COVID-19 nor if the selftest has a positive result.

  • Please stay at home if you have cold- or flu symptoms, or if you have a fever. This also applies when any housemates have these symptoms. You can always contact me to discuss this.

  • In the above mentioned cases, I kindly request you to cancel your appointment, preferably via telephone and 24 hours before the scheduled appointment takes place. Cancellations shall not be charged because of this reason, regardless of wether the appointment was cancelled in time or not.

  • You shall receive a reminder 24 hours before our appointment takes place, containing this questionnaire. In the form are a few questions for you to answer so that I know that treatment can take place safely. If anything changes in your state of health between the moment that you have filled in the form and your leaving for the Shiatsu practice, please call me for consultation before arriving.

  • Please come alone as much as possible. Of course one of the parents may accompany their child (until age 16).

  • Take as little with you as possible, and put the things that you need to take with you away in your bag, or in the pocket of your jacket, before entering the practice.

  • I kindly request you to take a shower before leaving for our appointment and to put on clean, recently washed clothes. Please wear flexible and smooth clothing, with long sleeves and long legs and clean socks. Besides the above, due to the new regulations it is also no longer possible to change in the treatment room.

  • Can you take your own (clean and recently washed) large bathing towel, small towel for the cushion, and blanket (if you need one) with you?

  • During the treatment we shall talk less than is usually the case.

  • Ik regret that we are not able any more to greet each other as we used to. Maybe it is an idea to greet each other and tell goodbye with our own hands placed before our own heart. 🙏🏼 (At his moment these measures have been disbanded)

  • After using the pin machine (for the bank cards- it doesn’t work for credit cards) the contactpoints are cleaned every time. The invoice and follow-up appointments shall be sent digitally.

  • Should you wish to drink water you can either bring along your own cup, or your own drinking bottle.

Rules for the waiting room and the treatment room:

  • Please follow up on the recommendations of the RIVM.

  • Arrive as much as possible on the agreed time, but not too early. Ik will lead you to the treatment room.

  • As soon as you are inside, it would be nice if you could touch as little as possible. In the treatment room you can clean your hands with disinfection gel.

  • The chairs in the waiting room are placed so, that there is a minimum of 1,5 meter distance between you and others. Please keep 1,5 meter distance to others in the waiting room. (At this moment these measures have been disbanded)

  • The RIVM requests the use of a bathroom at home. If you need the use it in the practice, then kindly attend to washing your hands afterwards. (At this moment these measures have been disbanded)

  • Please sneeze or cough in a paper handkerchief. You can throw this away in the dustbin. If you don’t have a paper handkerchief, please cough or sneeze into your elbow. After sneezing or coughing clean your hands with soap or disinfection gel.

  • Before and after the treatment I wash my hands and my forearms with disinfection soap.

  • After each client the contactpoints, such as doorknobs, armrests, and chairs shall be cleaned. Please touch as little as possible in the practice.

Despite of all the precautions taken, the possibility remains (however small) that you may be infected with COVID-19 in the practice or on your way to it. In making the Shiatsu appointment you accept this risk as your own, and will not hold the Shiatsu practice responsible.
